Paints were generally seen as a production good in 1962, but that was when Asahipen Corporation began viewing paints as a consumer good, and bet the company’s future on the challenge of creating a completely new market in Japan of household paints. Now, Asahipen has a nationwide sales network, and is recognized as a top manufacturer of household paints not only for sales but also for name recognition, product lineup, service system and other features. This is all thanks to the support we have received from our valued clients and customers, business partners and suppliers, senior staff and many other associates, all of to whom we are extremely grateful. Household paints are products that are evaluated once the customers who purchase the paints actually use them and get the finish they expected. With this in mind, rather than just sell the products of paints, our approach is to sell trust and confidence through the Asahipen brand. The first line of our company creed is “First comes trust through sincerity,” and this is the fundamental spirit of Asahipen. We will carry on the trust and confidence built up by the diligent efforts of our senior staff, and remain wholeheartedly committed to meeting the expectations of all those associated with our business. “Coloring Life, Protecting Homes” is the total concept of Asahipen, and our mission as a company is to contribute to enriching and improving the quality of people’s lives in their homes. In accordance with these Management Principles, in addition to household paints and other paint-related products, we also manufacture and sell interior goods such as wallpaper, shoji (Japanese sliding door) paper and glass sheets, products for cleaning and maintaining houses (house care goods) including household detergents and waxes and repair materials, and gardening goods for outdoors and the areas around gardens. With this extensive product lineup, Asahipen has established a definite presence at the counters of home improvement centers and other such stores. We will continue with our business activities aimed at Coloring Life and Protecting Homes, and contribute to enriching and improving the quality of people’s lives in their homes.
