Company
Asahipen Corporation was founded in 1940, and in the years thereafter we manufactured and sold a variety of paints including those for use in construction work and buildings. Then in 1962, we switched our focus to the future potential of household paints in Japan and transitioned to become a specialty manufacturer in this field, embarking on a journey to cultivate this untapped market.
Since then, we have been solely focused on developing products that are safe and easy-to-use in households and on creating a nationwide sales network. Our efforts have paid off, and now we are an industry leader not only for sales but also for name recognition, product lineup, service system and other features. Asahipen has established its name as a top manufacturer of household paints, for which we are highly rated. During this time, we have developed water-based household paints, single-coat paints, and Water-based New Spray, which is a non-hazardous and CFC-free water-based paint. We have also received the Eco Mark Product certification for our household paints for the first time, and launched an industry-first paint spray with a gas-venting cap. Through these and other initiatives, Asahipen has stood at the forefront of industry in technology as well, and played our role as a leader.
Asahipen has also expanded into the fields of interior goods such as wallpaper and shoji (Japanese sliding door) paper, products for cleaning and maintaining houses (house care goods) including household detergents and repair materials. We will continue to work tirelessly to contribute to enriching and improving the quality of people’s lives in their homes.
